WoR: The First Snow

My New Year's exchange for

HOMG!! FINALLY~!! I've finished eet~!!! |D This was the one thing that took me away from most of my artsies. But I have to say something:

I. AM. SO. SORRYYYYYY~!! D'| I don't give Devon any justice whatsoever. I got extremely lazy somewhere halfway through, and since I was strapped for time, I didn't go through the proper processes of making art like I normally did. FRICK THERE'S NO PROPER LINEART!!! PLEASE FORGIVE ME~!!! *cries in Tamaki's corner of woe*

The irony of this is that I actually started Devon early before heading off to do other things (which I'll explain shortly), and ended up having to finish him within the span of... two days? Maybe a day and a half? =x= But seriously, I can explain everything why this didn't turn out the way I envisioned it and explain my lame and lazy attempt to finish it.


Here are the lowdowns:

LOWDOWN NO. 1
Before deciding on setting about on the exchange, I was to be on a trip to Thailand and Singapore for a week. Now as much as I would love to bring my laptop with me, I remembered how much of a hassle it was to bring it to Indonesia in the first place. Thence, I did not bring it at all.

LOWDOWN NO. 2
Upon our return back to Indonesia, jetlag and procrastination began to kick in for the first few days before continuing our family holiday in Indonesia, which included various activities, visiting more relatives, and the infamous Chinese New Year celebrations that were coming up.

LOWDOWN NO. 3
It was before CNY (during and after) that I had gotten myself dangerously sick. Yes. Condensed milk here is not your best friend. I was out of commission for a few days and couldn't get myself to work on Devon the way I wanted to, which explains my 1.5-2 day attempt to finish him since my concept of time is whacked up from all of this travelling. >x<


So, to *luvs2sketch... I implore. Please forgive my procrastination and my string of bad luck. >_>;;; And really, the background was half-arsed. I can't do backgrounds at all and I can... and WILL... admit that.

ANYWHO, the letters in the corner are said as "Saisho no Yuki", which means First Snow. Seems there's a Japanese tradition about "firsts" when it comes to New Year's. So, I thought Devon would introduce the first snow of the New Year... at midnight... when the fireworks display was about to blow. XD I think he'd kill the mood just to feel better about himself. =w=

ALSO, I love his keyblade, but seriously, it took a while to get it down. I don't even know how big it is! OxO!! So, that's just my guess of it anyway. >_>;;;
